Also, I"m going to say: A THIRD month goes by! Woo 30 more silver for me! Rollin' in the dough! Even though I don't have any more LP to increase the skill again, I'll spend much of my time in the library, continuing to research horrors and how they might next attempt to break in.

Mes will attempt to talk War out of getting the death cheat charm. After training, I'll work on getting Maw a Last Chance Salve (it'll take 2 weeks & 300 silver in materials for the auto success). We have quite a bit of healing in the party. With Fire Heal 4 & Fireblood, Mal is a veritable health battery. Heat Food and Relax add (as of now) +9 to recovery tests. The Flask of Em gives significantly reduced priced Healing Potions. AND we all have Blood Share. At 4th Circle, Maw can get Circle of Well Being (Mes will pay/help pay for it). With +WIL to recovery tests for 40+ min, coupled with Relax to reduce the time between recovery tests - the party will be able to heal up fairly quickly. Based off that - getting more physical armor will help out. Oppenents rarely get armor defeating hits agains you, and that 1 dmg saved will add up quite quickly. Thing is, against the last horror, armor didn't help at all, but I was very close to actually dying. Plus, the Death Cheat can serve as a prop to help with Dead Fall. Explain why I got up after "dying"? Well, I have a death cheat charm. Also I think it would be cool to wear lots of used Death Cheat charms, that were all used for my own deaths. Would Dead Fall set it off? Also, Mes can make something that looks like the charm for show (I have both ways to make it - Alchemy & Half-Magic).
while that 1 horror bypassed your armor, all the cadavermen, other horrors, people that we've fought would 'out vote' it.

I replied to character sheets with potions. I've spent a total of 5 weeks crafting potions. So, I'll spend the remainder of the time "working" - so, 1 week... 30 silver.

Would Dead Fall set it off? Probably not, although with GM permission possibly you could attempt to use it that way, i.e. attempting to use illusion magic to trick the blood charm into activating to heal you even though you aren't actually dead. Might be the sort of thing that would require using a knack. And it would pretty expensive, given that they're 450 silver each and you'd just be using them like a healing potion. What I meant was, if I use Dead Fall and then get back up, it's more useful if opponents think the reason why was that I really was dead but was saved by the blood charm, rather than that I was just faking it. Otherwise if I use Dead Fall twice in the same fight, they might suspect something is up and stab my "dead" body just to be sure. I suppose I could accomplish the same thing by purchasing a used one to wear, but Mawaris isn't the type who would do that.

But I suppose since we've at least got Last Chance Salves now I can wait on that until I've got more money later, and just forge my armor now. So that's 270 silver. Then I've got a little money left over too if anything else comes up.

I saw why you wanted it, but I think that Mes could gin up something that would look like the Charm (he has 2 different ways of doing it) in order to give more realism to the Dead Fall.

And yeah, you don't want to be one of those annoying rich people who buy other people's used cheat death charms.

Course, the problem with getting a fake one made, is that if anyone sees that it's fake, then you look like a cheap poor person trying to act like a spoiled rich person with a lower class knock off!

And remember that blood share can be used to bring back the just-departed. :-). I need to rank mine up more :-).

I think running around with a pseudo charm would call to the Illusionist's sense of what is real/true... As for rich/poor; I think most people in the Kaer understand that we could afford the real thing, so it'd probably only be a problem when we left the Kaer. Also, if someone said something disparaging to Maw, he could always take it as an invitation to duel. Sweet upside
