(1) 11 days.
Craft My own Battle hammer: 8 Base days + 3 to reduce difficulty
Difficulty: 8 (8-3) I want to make it with a metal haft, 5 is a normal battle hammer, so a "good" success seems appropriate!).
I assume this adds 50% to weight of hammer and increases str. required to wield it by 1.
(2) Forge Weapon 1: 3 Days per attempt [Going for +1, costs 125 silver! Using the same rules as potions, i.e., 50% because I'm not providing anything - raw metals or forge].
(3) With remaining days, if any begin carving a shallow M into each non-striking face of the battle hammer, and write in small letters on the side of the weapon "The Dagger" (the first notable foe we defeated).
This will take a total of 4 days before I make the TN 4 rune test! [The range on Artisan tests is 5-7, 7 seems appropriate for metal. Taking 3 extra days for the max -3 bonus!]. Actually, this test will be for a single M. I intend to *take my time*.
In addition, I'd like to copy handwriting of each of the Brothers for Each M. So one face will be My handwriting style, one face I would have Mal draw an M on parchment, and I'd copy it, and one face I"d have Mawaris draw an M on parchment, and copy it. 4 Days per M.
And an additional 4 days for "The Dagger". Since I roll 2d8, at least I can't ruin the weapon if I spend the full 4 days! [I'm stealing the extra time rule from crafting for this, which is basically a crafting test!].
. . . assuming we survive this adventure and actually defeat the Dagger. Given that we're first circle, I"m not afraid to have us fail for now, and him disappear . . . if we have bad luck.
