Here's my thought:
You are assigned by Zenit'bg, whose parents couldn't spell, apparently (high ranking Blood Guard, reports directly to V. Verdant, 6th Circle Nethermancer) to bring in an elf by the name of Aelthor. Last seen headed towards the human district from the hospital. Also assigned to work with a partner who is slightly senior, Vranoff, who is a good foot soldier, although not as bright as he should be, and notoriously not-squeamish.
As you head out , Zenit asks Vranoff to stay for a moment to discuss something "entirely unrelated, of course". You have a sneaking suspicion Vranoff may have been given a "dead or alive, dead is fine" sort of instruction. Which happens, but would certainly limit any valuable intelligence . . . and the evidence is a little second hand.
He may also have been seen with the Madeara brothers. Your superiors like to spread rumors that the Madeara brothers have been awfully close to a lot of suspicious horror activity, and should not be trusted! Although from your own personal information, you are fairly sure the brothers have been stopping horror activity, not provoking it.
Between tracking on your part or Vranoff's, and Mal's complete lack of the talent, it probably won't be that hard to find. You can find a solid print right outside the hospital window ;-).

Brux looks straight ahead from his positioned kneeling before the print. In a calm almost expressionless voice he comments, "I don't think they're trying to hide from us. It shouldn't take too long to catch up. Lets go." He stands up and begins to follow where the rather obvious tracks lead. One would imagine figuring rather quickly that the Brothers Madeara are likely with him given the tracks.

Vranoff mutters: " Let's get this over with... "
As you make your deeper into the human quarter (deeper tends to mean closer to the wall and poorer) you'll hear someone in an alley a block ahead yell "Stop" really loudly as a couple elves rush across the street to enter that alley. If you're using tracking as a talentn the glowing footprints head into the alley ahead of the two elves.

(Yes, its the tracking talent)
Brux pauses for a moment, tilting his head toward Vranoff ever-so-slightly. "I think we found them." With a brisk jog he moves to the entrance to the alley.

Around round 2: You get to the alley and see the Madeara brothers and an orc engaged with 4 humans (a la other thread-although it's not actually to round 2 yet :-)). The humans have the others surrounded.
You'll also probably want to make a perception test.
Vranoff: "Looks like half our problem might solve itself. But I don't see Aelthor. Are you sure this is the right way?"

Brux looks as if he is about to move toward the alley when Vranoff casts his observation - he stops immediately and turns to half-look at Vranoff, "You don't see the man we're here to arrest and yet you believe we've found half the problem?"
[Will move to the other thread I guess when the time syncs? Perception roll: 4]

I don't see pointy ears.
